Most of our standard home installations fall between £899 and £1,200 fully installed, including the charger, a new dedicated circuit, testing and certification. Some properties cost more — for example where a longer cable run, groundworks or a consumer unit upgrade is needed. We provide a fixed quote after a free remote survey — or if you’d prefer an in-person site survey, we offer these for £75, fully refunded when you place your order. A new dedicated EV charger circuit from your consumer unit, fixing the charger to a suitable wall, all required protective devices, and full testing and certification. We’ll make sure you’re up and running before we leave.

Installation time varies depending on your property, but we can usually complete a standard installation within 4 hours. Workplace chargers usually take longer, which can be discussed before your project begins.

Most home chargers are installed under permitted development, so planning permission isn’t usually needed. Exceptions include listed buildings and some flats/leaseholds where you’ll need the freeholder’s consent. If you rent, you’ll need your landlord’s permission. We can advise during your survey.

It depends on your car, tariff, and whether you have solar panels. For a home charger, yes — you need somewhere the cable can reach your car without crossing a public footpath. If you don’t have a driveway, ask us about alternatives; some councils also run on-street charging schemes.

Government grants and incentives for EV charger installation change regularly, and eligibility depends on your circumstances — we’d recommend checking the current schemes on the official GOV.UK website before your installation. If you do qualify for a grant, let us know and we’ll be happy to advise how it applies to your installation.
